Job Description : Provide lead architecture, design, engineering, and implementation services for a project to design and implement an image library based on configuration management (CM) guidelines. The solution requirements include implementing a standard image based on CM baselines with the capability to validate CM compliance and provide on the fly re-baseline (re-image) capabilities. The solution will also require the implementation of a image library to manage and define standard and non-standard server and desktop images for the organizations infrastructure. System must include patch management and deployment capabilities. Design requirements include the capability to be geographically load balanced and failover capable at select target sites for disaster recovery and availability purposes.
Candidate must possess a strong working knowledge and hands on experience (5 plus years) with following technologies: System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), System Management Server (SMS) ; Microsoft Windows Server 2003 (2008 a plus); Microsoft windows XP (Vista a plus), VMware Infrastructure 3. Experience with various image deployment solutions (I.E. Altiris, Acronis, etc, a plus). Extensive system patch management and software deployment experience is required. Candidate should have experience running a project from architecture and design to implementation and sustainment. Must have certifications for position: MCSE with SCCM or SMS. |

Job Description : Lead Infrastructure Engineer with around 10 years of professional experience in the engineering and design of IT infrastructure using physical and virtual based Windows 2003/2008 servers, SAN storage, clustering and LAN/WAN technologies. Responsible for maintaining an enterprise class infrastructure consisting of 800+ servers and related equipment. Will also be responsible for defining processes, documentation, and engineering diagrams that will be used for technical and operations support activities. Work with a large operations team to gather and analyze business and technical requirements. Written and oral communication skills are as essential as superior analytical skills and core client relationship skills.
Lead and mentor a team of mid and junior level engineers responsible for the overall health and maintenance of all infrastructure assets. Work with the Enterprise Operations Team to analyze and document functional, technical, and operational requirements. Understand how current or envisioned processes align to industry best practice. Complete current state analysis, requirements gathering, and documentation. As voice of the Operations Team participate in the infrastructure design, discussion, and selection process. Participate in the creation of project plans and communicate status to all levels of management. Ensure issues are identified, tracked, reported on, and resolved in a timely manner.
Seek opportunities to provide value-added solutions for all aspects of infrastructure improvement while participating in the Continuous Lifecycle Improvement program.
Required Qualifications: MCSE 2003 or greater, excellent leadership, supervision and mentoring skills, Extensive experience in Microsoft and VMware infrastructure with respect to enterprise design and engineering. ideally experienced in geographic failover, redundancy, load balancing (software and hardware), performance testing and evaluation, blade server and SAN technologies. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong presentation skills, Strong IT project management, documentation, planning, and organizational skills, must have the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and to work and respond under pressure, experience and skills in prevailing industry architecture & engineering methodologies, MSF, and ITIL are preferred, excellent communications, problem solving, and analytical skills, strong judgment, issues management, and problem analysis techniques, strong presentation, facilitation, time management, and prioritization skills, proven ability to work both independently and as a part of a team, demonstrated ability to balance priorities on simultaneous projects and capable of interacting with individuals at all client and organizational levels. |
