OSD Networks & Information Integration
DEI provides OSD NII with cyber defense engineering and enterprise architecture services in the following areas:
- Net-centricity
- Incorporating emerging commercial technologies that improve DoD’s mission, effectiveness, and efficiency
- Using information technologies to enable development of more agile and collaborative cross-component war fighting, intelligence and business processes

Pentagon Renovation – Defense Continuity Integrated Networks
DEI provides continuity services that ensure data availability and communications as well as
- Ensuring alternate site activation within 2 hours
- Ensuring alternate site is available 24x7 for 30 days (minimum)

Department of Defense Cyber Crime Center (DC3)
DEI provides the DC3 with mission support in the following areas:
- Provide digital evidence processing and electronic media analysis for criminal law enforcement and Department of Defense counterintelligence investigations and activities.
- Deliver investigations and forensic training to DoD members to ensure info systems are secure from unauthorized use.
- Remain on the cutting edge of future investigations through research, development, testing, and evaluation (RDT&E).
- Serve as the focal point and clearinghouse for Defense Industrial Base incident reporting and computer emergency response actions as part of the Department of Homeland Security’s Critical Infrastructure Partnership Advisory Council initiative, through the housing of the analytical portion of the National Cyber Investigative Joint Task Force, and protection of Sensitive But Unclassified information on contractor networks.
